Luke Maggiore

Director / Head Coach

Get ready to ignite your fitness journey with our Head Coach and Director of Purebred Fitness, Luke. With a burning passion for fitness that started in his youth, Luke’s competitive spirit led him to excel in rugby league, amateur boxing, and even IFBB bodybuilding where he brought home gold, twice! But that’s not all – Luke has also conquered incredible endurance feats, including completing marathons, Ironman races, and a jaw-dropping 100-mile ultra trail run.

Luke’s expertise goes beyond his impressive athletic achievements. He’s also earned a diploma in fitness and nutrition and continually hones his approach to training through seminars and ongoing education. His specialties include body sculpting, strength training, muscle building, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that will leave you feeling stronger and more energized than ever before.

Michaela Sargeant

Coach

Michaela Sergeant is truly the heart of Purebred. She is an ambassador for everything we believe in and is an integral part of the family like culture we have worked so hard to achieve. Michaela has completed her Cert III & Cert IV in Fitness and is currently completing her studies in a Bachelor of Human Movement and Physical Education.

Michaela has 4+ years’ experience in the industry and is a genius on all things strength and boxing. Her areas of speciality including high intensity interval training (HIIT), endurance, strength and fat loss.

Tam Kerr

Tam Kerr

Coach

Tam has over 15 years’ experience as a coach and mentor in the fitness industry in both face-to-face and online platforms.

Tam has successfully written and delivered elite training programs for individuals to help them achieve both their training and health goals & has years of experience in group class coaching & programming.

Tam specialises in pre & post natal, injury rehabilitation, mobility/flexibility & women’s strength training. Tam loves building strong bodies & minds.

Paul Barnat

Paul Barnat

Coach

Paul has over 10 years experience in the health and fitness industry with strength conditioning and functional fitness. He implements his knowledge into his own training including surfing, mountain biking and trail running. Paul has competed in adventure races including Spartan and the 100km Oxfam trail. He also creates a balance with mobility, meditation and breath-work for an all-round health and wellbeing.

Paul comes to us with the strong belief that you can transform your life through connecting the mind and body, stepping through boundaries, and challenging yourself through exercise training and mindset work.

Lachlan Danise

Lachlan Danise

Coach

Lachlan Dansie joins us with 15 years experience in the Fitness industry completing a Diploma in Fitness and Certificate 4 in Massage Therapy. Lachie is a big fan of Bodyweight training but over the years have been qualified in and taught everything imaginable from CrossFit to Les Mills Pump, Body Balance and Spin, to Boxing and even Aqua Aerobics! He has done a lot of sports but has been most successful in Obstacle Course Racing.

Lachie also holds 5 time Australian Champion and 2 times World Enduro Champion, most recently completing a 12km obstacle course 15 times in a 24 hour period to claim the title. Some of the other events he has taken first place include Australia’s Toughest Mudder, the Men’s Fitness Magazine Fit Bloke Challenge, Currently holding more Spartan race wins than any other Aussie, and the only person to win every Spartan distance from Sprint to Ultra. He has also been a part of the winning team at the F45 National Play Offs for the last three years.

Meet our youngest coach at the gym, Lara. She is currently studying a degree in Exercise and Sports Science, and her passion for fitness and wellness is evident in everything she does. Lara’s journey in the fitness industry began at a young age, where she discovered the transformative power of exercise and its ability to positively impact one’s physical and mental health.

As a coach, Lara brings a unique perspective to the table, combining her academic knowledge with her real-world experience in the gym. She is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals, whether that means losing weight, building muscle, or improving their overall fitness level.

In addition to her coaching duties, Lara is also an avid fitness enthusiast herself. She enjoys experimenting with new workouts and pushing her own limits, and she believes that this passion for self-improvement is what sets her apart as a coach.

Ruby brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team with five years of experience in the fitness industry. Her passion for fitness and wellness is evident in everything she does, and she loves nothing more than pushing herself to new heights and ripping in on the gym floor next to clients.

Ruby’s approach to coaching is tough but fair. She believes that everyone has the potential to achieve their goals, but that it takes hard work and dedication to get there. As a coach, Ruby is committed to helping her clients reach their full potential, whether that means improving their strength, endurance, or overall fitness level.

Connie joins the Purebred Team with 10 years experience working with children. Connie has worked as a disability support worker along side working in numerous Crèches. She is enthusiastic and approachable and you can often find her with a smile on her face looking after your bubs or joining in on a PB class. Connie has a current Working with Children’s Check and has 3 children of her own.

Ava Southwell

Ava is 20 years old and joins the PB team with ample experience working with children. Ava not only helps part time (Tue, Wed, Thur) in our creche, she is also currently working as a disability support worker. Currently studying health science, Ava is a bright and fun individual who adores working with children. She is also a member at PB so make sure you say hey if you ever do a class with her! Ava has a current Working with Children’s Check and First Aid

We are excited to introduce Lani, our young and passionate creche staff member at Purebred Fitness. Lani’s love for children and fitness makes her the perfect fit for our team. With a background in Early Childhood Education, Lani knows how to create a safe and nurturing environment for children of all ages.

Lani is committed to providing a fun and engaging experience for the children in her care. She is patient, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that every child feels comfortable and happy. Her warm and caring personality makes her a favourite among both parents and children alike.
